Train Set
a multi-disciplinary interactive agency
It's our belief that by connecting humanistic usability, visual design, and tight code we birth compelling interactive products. Whether it's web properties, tangible media, or making forks more usable we deliver englightening innovation. We're a small super power.
We hold college degrees. We wear tuxedoes to knife fights. We unfortunately don't have a rich uncle in Bel-Air. We recycle and turn out the lights when possible. We like dance parties. We feel good ideas ought to be free. Making awesome ideas happen is gold. Give a ring if you want to join in pushing the interactive envelope.
Collin Schaafsma
You know that movie where the baby is placed in a capsule and shot to earth? Bear with me... Collin never grew up with super powers, just a really big last name. What he lacks in laser vision, godlike strength, and immense speed he makes up for with wicked code development prowess. Commanding over a decade of development experience in his trousers he's the third spoke in the Train Set trifecta. Need a database? How big? Want your site architected to a supreme level? Frank Gehry who? We call him "All State" 'round these parts 'cause you're in good hands.
Dan Storch
Who the fuck is Dan Storch? A former member of an elite squadron, wrongfully accused of a crime they didn't commit. Dan has spent the past few years traveling New Zealand, becoming a father and discovering his best work comes from helping people achieve theirs. Ten years of management and development positions in the outdoor, auto and natural food industries have given Dan a strong tool set for creative problem solving, ideation and business strategy. To answer your question Dan Storch doesn’t even know who Dan Storch is. He's thought of simply as the team's dot connector.
Michael Tseng
Once in a while a stroke of genius comes along. Michael is sort of like the cousin of that genius, two parents removed - kind of genius. Formally trained as an industrial designer with an interaction design minor, he's sharpened his teeth in the software world of SAP, the industrial design world of Smart Design, and most recently the advertising wonderland that is Crispin Porter and Bogusky. Michael is a specialist in all things internet, social connectivity through web mediums, and story telling to remote users. At the moment he's the principle designer and a founding partner of Train Set. Not to mention he's a blogger and design professor.
